It might be men's fashion week in Paris, but women just won the runways.
Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, the most super of supermodel duos, made a surprise appearance on Louis Vuitton's catwalk on Thursday. Both women wore logo-printed trenches styled with matching hiking boots — yet another point to monogram mania, which has recently resurged in the fashion world.
Until Thursday, Moss hadn't walked the runway since Louis Vuitton's fall 2013 women's show, back when Marc Jacobs was creative director. (That time, she wore a sheer gown, catapulting her ahead of the now-ubiquitous naked dress trend).
Meanwhile, Campbell is continuing a haute streak on the runways: She closed Off-White's Spring 2018 show in Paris in October, and appeared in the runway reunion heard 'round the world at Versace's Spring 2018 show in September.
The pair took a finale bow with menswear designer Kim Jones, who on Wednesday announced his departure from Louis Vuitton.
With women's fashion month just a few weeks away, it's hard to imagine a moment more super than this.
