Gabrielle Union opened up about being sexually assaulted and raped at gunpoint at Investigation Discovery president Henry Schleiff's Inspire a Difference awards ceremony on Thursday at the Dream Downtown.
"She told the crowd that sexual harassment can happen to anyone at anytime. She never thought it would be her because she was the 'role-model black girl' and laughed at all the 'black jokes,'" a guest at the event told us.
"She stressed we need to teach our kids — boys and girls — about good touch and bad touch when it comes to interacting with adults."
Union, who was honored for her work with the Rape Foundation, gave a speech that brought the audience to tears. "Alonzo Mourning was handing out tissues to everyone," the guest said.
Julianna Margulies, Padma Lakshmi and Mourning were also honored.
