Cue the snake emojis.
Add Nicki Minaj to the list of celebrity names who are apparently anti-Taylor Swift. Shortly after Swift dropped her new single, "Look What You Made Me Do," early Friday, Minaj tweeted, "N—a sit down. Be humble."
While some fans are speculating that it could simply be a reference to Kendrick Lamar's song "Humble," many pondered on social media that Minaj could be reigniting her feud with Swift, which began in 2015 after MTV announced that Swift's "Bad Blood" music video was nominated for Video of the Year but Minaj's video for "Anaconda" wasn't.
"If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies," Minaj tweeted at the time, "you will be nominated for vid of the year."
Swift caught sight of the message and responded, "I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot.."
After a few more exchanges on social media, the two musicians let bygones be bygones and — predictably — performed together at the VMAs, because of course they did.
In addition to releasing "Look What You Made Me Do," Swift also teased the accompanying video on "Good Morning America" Friday. The seconds-long preview was all it took for people to start calling it a ripoff of Beyoncé's "Lemonade."
