She's a cosmos girl.

Janelle Monáe, who stars in the new NASA flick "Hidden Figures,'' shows off her heavenly body at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida for the February issue of Cosmopolitan.

Already a hit recording artist, Monáe is seeing her acting career blast off, too, with the movie landing at the top of the box office for the second straight week Sunday and praise pouring in for her role in "Moonlight."

In "Hidden Figures," Monáe, 31, plays one of three black women who worked for NASA during the space race.

"I hope people will look at these characters I'm playing as the new superheroes," she tells the mag. "We do parades for astronauts, but we don't do them for the people behind the scenes."
