The 34-year-old opened up to WSJ Magazine about her role in Queen Bey's visual album – including keeping the project a secret.
"I've known Bey for a long time," Williams said in her cover story for the magazine's latest issue.
Although the tennis pro knows a thing or two about working her muscles, Williams said twerking alongside Beyoncé was no easy task.
"I got really sore from dancing!" she said.
It was a pleasant surprise for fans to see the two powerful women on the same screen, and Williams said she had no trouble keeping her appearance a secret.
"If you tell me, 'Don't say anything,' I won't say anything," Williams told WSJ.
Fellow tennis champion, Caroline Wozniacki, added that she didn't know about the video until she saw it – "she really kept it a secret."
Lemonade has been certified platinum and, according to Billboard, all 12 songs on the album debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in May – making Beyoncé the first woman to chart 12 songs on the list at once.
