Now that he gets to see his son, Future's willing to let bygones be bygones.
The "Where Ya At" rapper, 32, has dropped his lawsuit against his former fiancée Ciara after he was granted jointed custody of their son, Future Zahir Wilburn, reports TMZ.
Future and the "I Bet" singer, 30, have spent the last couple years engaged in a nasty war of words, much of it centered around their child. In February, Ciara filed a $15 million lawsuit against the emcee, accusing him of slander and libel, after he called her a bad mother. Soon after, Future countersued.
Sources close to the rapper tell the website that he has asked to have the suit dropped after a Los Angeles judge ruled in his favor during a hearing last month, granting him joint custody of the former couple's child. Ciara had been seeking full custody.
Future is believed to have dropped the suit in hopes that it will dissuade Ciara from continuing her attempts to restrict his custodial rights. Whether or not that proves to be the case, her lawsuit against him is still moving forward.
Ciara, who is currently engaged to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, and Future broke up in August 2014 after nearly two years as a couple. Their son was born in May of that year.
When reached for comment, a representative for Ciara declined to comment.
