Janet Jackson had some good news, bad news for her fans Wednesday (April 6). She took to Twitter to tell her fans that she is postponing her "Unbreakable" world tour in order to start planning her family with her husband of four years, Wissam Al Mana.

"We're in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know," says Jackson in a Twitter video. "My husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour. Please, if you can, try and understand that it's important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor's orders. But I have not forgotten about you, I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."

The "Unbreakable" tour was announced May 2015 and kicked off in Canada in August before moving to the U.S. in September. It was the singer's seventh concert tour and first since her 2011 "Number Ones, Up Close and Personal" tour.

Jackson first mentioned postponing the tour back in December, citing an unspecified surgery she had to have. At the time, she said, "Please hold on to your tickets. They will be honored in a special way when the new schedule is announced," and it does not sound like that has changed, though no dates have been specified.

Jackson also thanks her crew and her fans in the Twitter video. "I want to thank the dancers, the band, my entire crew — you guys were so professional, so incredibly talented, so supportive and loving each and every night, thank you so much. I can't wait for us to get started again."

"Thank you to all the fans for your love, your undying love, your loyalty, that means so much to me, you're truly appreciated. It's been a long journey, and you guys have been there each and every step of the way."
