Prophetic Rihanna said it best in her 2008 "Live Your Life" lyric: "Come walk in my shoes, And see the way I'm livin' if you really want to."
Listen up Navy: the Barbadian beauty has a new collaboration with famed shoe designer Manolo Blahnik! The scrumptious Spring 2016 shoe collection, called Denim Desserts, features six limited edition styles that were all designed personally by Blahnik and Rihanna.
And Bad Gal RiRi is just as excited for the upcoming line as we are! "The day I see a woman in the street wearing my shoes… I am sorry for that woman because I'm going to literally run after her, shouting, 'Stop! Selfie! Who are you? Where did you get them?' I'm going to have a moment!" Rihanna said in a statement.
Inspired by the singer's hand tattoos, each unique shoe is artfully fashioned with denim, sequins and/or artisan embroidery. Though it's hard to choose which is her favorite in the collaboration, Rihanna selects the '9 to 5' boot – Dolly Parton-inspired perhaps? – as a standout piece.
"Those boots are dangerous!" Rihanna said. "If you're trying to get back home to your bed, don't wear them boots! You will get kidnapped in those boots, those boots are trouble." (Cue the Nancy Sinatra song "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'").
Denim Desserts is set to be on-sale on May 5 across three store locations globally in London, New York and Hong Kong.
"This is an incredibly exciting collaboration and I am absolutely thrilled with the results," Blahnik gushed. "Working with Rihanna has been amazing and her drive, passion, creativity and style has been reflected in the designs, with fabulous results – I think everyone is going to love what they are about to see."
With Denim Desserts, the "Work" hitmaker is surely expanding her fashion empire. She serves as woman's creative director of Puma, and even has her own Fenty clothing line with the brand, which includes sneakers.
Rihanna's first Puma shoe collaboration, the Creeper, sold out within three hours of its release and were completely wiped from Puma's website the following day. Her second Puma shoe collab, the Fenty trainers, were highly coveted as well.
If her sold-out Creepers and Fenty trainers are any indications as to how well these high-end heels, priced from $895 to $3995, could do on the market, Rihanna may have another hit on her hands.
Can't wait until May 5? Take a peek of the collaboration in the April issue of Vogue UK, in which Rihanna models her own range for the cowgirl-themed cover spread.
