{blackbabes} Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen’s ‘FABLife’ a ratings disaster

Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen's new show, "FABLife," has turned to the drab life for the supermodels thanks to sinking ratings since its debut, TV insiders tell Page Six.

Banks' other show, the long-running "America's Next Top Model," is ending its run Dec. 4 after 12 years on the air. And sources tell Page Six her Disney/ABC show "FABLife" won't make it to a second season unless things get more fabulous quickly. By comparison, daytime shows from Bethenny Frankel and Anderson Cooper were put out of their misery due to low ratings though they had bigger average numbers than "FABLife."

"The new ratings are beyond catastrophic," said one insider after "FABLife" debuted in September as the No. 1 new syndicated talk show with a 1.0 rating, but sank in subsequent weeks to a 0.7. It's now being beaten by a much less glamorous daytime competitor, "Crime Watch Daily."

"The show's a ratings disaster," said another source, "specifically with [adults 25 to 54]. By comparison, Bethenny's delivery of the [25 to 54 demographic] was 29 percent higher than 'FABLife' at the time of its cancellation" last year.

"ABC's already looking for a replacement [for 'FABLife']," said a third source, who added that new producers are being hired to inject fabulousness. "It's not going to survive with a 0.7 [rating]."

But sources close to the show counter that it's doing well with women and has "the youngest demo among syndicated shows besides 'The Real' and 'The Wendy Williams Show,'" and is performing well in markets like New York and Chicago. "They are very excited and optimistic about this show," said one. In the most recent ratings, "Dr. Phil" came in as the top daytime talk show with a 3.0, followed by "LIVE! with Kelly and Michael" with a 2.6 and Ellen DeGeneres at 2.2.

Teigen first revealed her pregnancy this month via Instagram to her 3.6 million followers, rather than on the show. But she thanked her co-stars and crew on Monday's episode for keeping her pregnancy a secret while she had morning sickness. A few weeks before, she revealed to Banks on the show her struggles with fertility.
