Instagram Taraji P. Henson's hair maxim: Lion's Lyons' mane!
After a brief stint with purple and gray tresses, the Empire star is opting for another drastic hair color swap. And this time, the 44-year-old is embracing a bright blond hue with darker roots, using her hair's enviable natural volume to showcase the flirty new color combo.
"Felt like a change… AGAIN," Taraji captioned her Instagram snapshot this morning her gorgeous Beyoncé-esque hairdo.
Big change indeed, and suffice to say, we bet Taraji's onscreen alter ego, Cookie Lyon, would approve of the voluminous lioness makeover. From her out-to-thee lashes to her perfectly arched brows and sexy gold chocker, the Emmy-nominated star looks every bit as fierce as her Empire character.
Back on set filming season two of her hit Fox show, the Empire star has been posting quite a few snaps to Instagram between takes. She's offered up several sneak peeks of Cookie's hair and makeup looks for the season, as well as a few candids with her co-stars. And speaking of her fellow stars, we're more excited than ever (if that was even possible?) for the upcoming season now that Ludacris, Marisa Tomei, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitiz and more stars are all set to make guest appearances. Can it just be Sept. 23 already?
As for Taraji's new do, we could totally see Cookie rocking it on season two. It's ferocious, untamed and wildly sexy, ergo perfect for her character.
