A Game of Thrones 4-Book Bundle - George R. R. Martin
Las Vegas will be making room for one more diva — we hear Mariah Carey is about to sign a deal for a residency at Caesars Palace.
It's still in negotiations, but sources tell us it could be worth more than Britney Spears' two-year, $30 million contract, and Mariah could hit the Strip before the 2015 holidays.
Carey, who is splitting from her husband, Nick Cannon, joins a long list of songbirds to have residencies in Vegas, including Cher, Celine Dion, Bette Midler and Spears.
Carey recently wrapped up a minitour around Asia, "The Elusive Chanteuse Show," where her performances received mixed reviews.
Her appearance during the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting was even rockier — she missed a sound check the night before the show because she was holed up in a hotel-room negotiation over details of her custody agreement of her twins.
She then sang live, but garbled the high notes of her holiday hit, "All I Want for Christmas Is You," during her performance on NBC.
Carey's rep didn't get back to us Monday night.
