Melanie Brown, a.k.a Mel B., has a message for those pesky rumormongers: Her husband Stephen Belafonte would never hit her.
After the former Spice Girl, 39, appeared on the finale of the U.K. version of The X Factor with what appeared to be bruises, speculation went into overdrive that she and her husband were on the skids.
She posted this message on Instagram Sunday: "I'm very good was very polly but much better now and for the record my hubby never would lay a hand on me sorry took so long but any response fuels rumors #lovemyfamily #lovemyfans."
On Christmas Day, Mel B. also posted a shot that showed her and her kids with Belafonte, 39. "Have a merry Christmas! #familytime #funday" she captioned the photo.
Mel B. has been married to Belafonte since 2007.
