Bangerz (Deluxe Version) - Miley Cyrus
Hold On: En Vogue is reuniting to star in a new holiday movie for Lifetime. In An En Vogue Christmas, the funky divas will play themselves, reuniting to perform a benefit concert to save the nightclub where they got their start.
An En Vogue Christmas opens with members Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron and Rhona Bennett having all gone their separate ways. But when the club that made them stars is forced to shut its doors, the trio organizes a Christmas-themed concert to raise money for the venue. But first they must put aside their differences and also overcome their past with their former manager (David Alan Grier), who was responsible for breaking them up.
Ellis and Herron were two of the four women who originally formed En Vogue in 1989. The group was one of the hottest musical acts of the 1990s, but hasn't released an album since 2004. (More recently, the group was at the center of a legal dispute, as two former members battled Ellis and Herron over rights to the group's name.) The original movie, which premieres Saturday, Nov. 22 at 8/7c, features hit En Vogue songs as well as two new tracks.
An En Vogue Christmas is part of a hefty slate of holiday-themed movies that Lifetime is set to announce on Tuesday. Besides the previously announced Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever, the lineup includes Seasons of Love, starring Taraji P. Henson (who also executive produces), which airs Sunday, Nov. 23 at 9/8c.
Wally Lamb's Wishin' and Hopin', based on the best-selling Christmas novel, and starring Molly Ringwald (with Chevy Chase as narrator), premieres Saturday, Dec. 6 at 8/7c. Also: The Santa Con, starring Barry Watson and Melissa Joan Hart (who also directs), debuts Saturday, Dec. 13 at 8/7c.
