People has released its annual Most Beautiful list, with Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o taking the top spot and the cover. One cannot deny she is a great choice after all of her red carpet stunners during this past year's awards season.

The rest of the Top 10 list includes "The Americans" star Keri Russell, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, "The Mindy Project's" Mindy Kaling, Pink, Amber Heard, Gabrielle Union, Molly Sims, Stacy Keibler and "Scandal" star Kerry Washington.

Nyong'o says she grew up thinking that "light skin and flowing, straight hair" was the height of beauty, but her mother always told her she was beautiful and finally she believed her at some point. The biggest reason she's so excited to be the face of Lancome Paris is because of "all the girls who would see me ... and feel a little more seen."

Kaling says one of her biggest beauty secrets is sleep. "I have the sleep patterns of a 12-year-old boy, so I could sleep until 2 in the afternoon. Pampering for me is sleeping."

Washington says, "The 'imperfections' are actually a gift. The reality is we all have nerves and moments of insecurity ... But if I said to myself that I'm only going to show up, or speak or be visible when I'm perfect, I would never get out of bed."
