Before you see Jennifer Hudson play Winnie Mandela on screen, you can hear her on the soundtrack.
RCA Records announced Wednesday that it would release Winnie Mandela — Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on Tuesday via all digital music providers. The album will feature Hudson, who plays the title role in the film, out Sept. 6, performing a new song called Bleed For Love — written by veteran hitmaker Diane Warren — with the Soweto Gospel Choir.
In a statement, Hudson described Bleed as having an "incredible and meaningful message about the power of love and the extension of the human heart. Diane wrote a beautiful song and it was an honor to work with her and the rest of the team to create this powerful piece of music."
The soundtrack also will feature appearances by St. Teresa's Intermediate School Choir, Ben Amato, Ipeleng Moshe, Twalamato and the Manhattan Brothers.
