Fans of the '90s hip-hop/R&B girl group TLC can expect not only a biopic in the near future, but new music as well.
On Thursday, the trio's surviving members, Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, announced that they planned to release a greatest-hits collection Oct. 15, which will include new tunes; Lady Gaga, Ne-Yo, Lil Mama, Drake and J. Cole will be contributors.
The new material will be TLC's first since 2002's 3D, released months after the group's third member, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, died in a car crash. It will include one new song by Ne-Yo, Meant To Be, and another, Posh Life, crafted by Lady Gaga and TLC's old producer Dallas Austin. Drake and J.Cole have expressed interest in collaborating as well.
Lil Mama will also play Left Eye in the previously mentioned CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, which will cast Keke Palmer as Chilli and Drew Sidora as T-Boz and is set to premiere on VH1 Oct. 21.
