Don't feel sorry for Rihanna.
After seven attempts in seven years, the pop singer got lucky and finally landed her first No. 1 album on the Billboard chart.
Unapologetic, her seventh studio album in just over seven years, sold 238,000 copies its first week to clinch the No. 1 spot, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It's her best sales week to date, behind the debut of 2010's Loud at No. 3 with 207,000.
The singles queen has had far more success with songs than albums. Last week, she racked up another No. 1 single with Diamonds. Since the launch of her recording career in 2005, she's amassed a dozen chart-topping hits on the Billboard 100, tying her for fourth place with Madonna and The Supremes, according to Billboard.
They trail The Beatles with 20, Mariah Carey with 18 and Michael Jackson with 13.
