Duration:6+Months
Develops, tests, implements and supports custom developed application systems. Applications are created using Pega PRPC, and Java.
Modifies application systems to deliver defect fixes and enhancements based on assigned tickets.
Works with defect control software to manage and log solutions for tickets and tasks assigned.
Have expertise in the following PRPC design and implementation topics: Work Object Relationships, UI Rules design and development, Rule Resolution /Inheritance /Circumstancing, Reporting, Routing (Skills based), Locking, Agents, Functions/Java API, Services, Connectors, Parsings
Understanding of Rule Set Architecture, Class Structures, and data model.
Have expertise in PRPC tools including the following: PRPC Caching, SMA, Tracer, DB trace, PLA, and Preflight.
Solid understanding of Pega Alert File and its use for troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Assists in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to BA's, SSA's, LSAs', Pega Client Support
Identifies and proposes PRPC enhancements to the LSA from trends in requirements.
Have an understanding of the supporting tools available to Architects such as the Pega PDN. Must have working knowledge of how to search for documentation on different topics and how to open a support ticket at Pega.
Responsible for Pega PRPC code review, to insure quality, consistency, and adherence to defined PRPC Development Best Practices.
Responsible defining company specific PRPC Development Best Practices.
Works with software development control software such as Source Safe.
Designs data layouts and creates XML files for data integration to other application systems.
Resolves trouble tickets through software Defect Tracking change control system. Updates system with relevant facts and statuses related to the fixes.
Develops enhancements to applications based on approved software enhancement requests, using change control system to track change tickets completed.
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline is preferred. Commensurate experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
A minimum of seven plus (7+) years of application development experience; nine (9) years is desirable.
5+ years using Pega PRPC.
Full system life cycle development, system quality assurance, business process redesign is desirable.
Consultative skills and the ability to work with clinical development and operations personnel to understand and deliver appropriate business solutions based on described functionality is required
