Responsibilities:
Perform complex analysis, design, programming and modifications of computer programs for software
Write detailed specifications, write code, complete programming, testing and debugging of applications
Document forms, procedures and other documentation needed for the installation and maintenance of application programs
Enhance knowledge of railroad industry as it relates to company's systems
Set high standards for others to follow
May provide technical and project leadership and assist in training less experienced analysts/programmers
Assigned work involves broad range of complex design and programming
Provide input to technology strategy
Other duties as assigned
Note: May be required to be on-call

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5-8 years of technical experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field strongly desired
In-depth knowledge of Java, J2EE, Spring and Struts MVC frameworks, JSP, Web Services, Oracle relational database
In-depth knowledge of client/server computer environment and the ability to design solutions which make the best use of architecture being employed by us or our customers
IBM MQ messaging experience is desired
Ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously
Other Skills:
Minimum of 5-8 years of technical experience
