Position:Java Developers
Location: Northbrook, IL
Duration: 7 months
Only EAD G.C, GC and US Citizens ONLY
Primary responsibilities include:
• Analyzing and reviewing business, functional and high-level technical requirements.
• Designing detailed technical components for complex applications utilizing high-level architecture, design patterns and reusable code.
• Supporting detailed project estimates and project work plans.
• Programming code independently for intermediate to complex modules following development standards.
• Planning and conducting code reviews for changes and enhancements that ensure standards compliance and systems interoperability.
• Creating test plans for module-level integration and tracking/resolving defects.
• Identifying code support issues, action resolutions, and providing technical assistance for moderately complex problems.
• Preparing and packaging production-ready code modules for staging.
• Ability to problem solve and reach resolution with a broader perspective in mind.
• Able to effectively communicate with peers, business analysts, project managers, quality control, and across other technology team boundaries
• Follows documentation and development standards.
• Program Design - Demonstrates mastery of program design tasks independently and without support from others for difficult programs.
• Applications System Architecture - Basic knowledge of systems architecture related directly to work assignments.
• Programming - Demonstrates proficiency of programming tasks independently and without support from others for moderately difficult applications.
• Program Documentation - Ability to write simple, clear, detailed and comprehensive documentation with accepted documentation conventions.
• Program Testing - Able to program test data, perform volume testing and insure data validity passed between programs.
• Applications Knowledge - Demonstrates a conceptual and business understanding of the application as well as related applications.

Experience required:
Solid Java/J2EE skills including the following:
o Understanding of core JDK fundamentals
o JSP
o Servlets
o EJB
• Experience with unit testing software (JUnit, etc...)
• Familiar with IBM tools such as Rational Application Developer, IBM Rational Clearcase/Clearquest etc...
• Solid understanding of main Object Oriented concepts (inheritance, composition etc...)
• Knowledge of basic URL notation, as well as able to generate basic UML documentation as required (Class Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams etc...)
• Good HTML/Javascript skills
• Good written and verbal skills
• Understanding of XML/schema notation is beneficial
• Understanding of web services is preferable but not required.
Solid Java/J2EE skills including the following:
