Business Analyst - Job Description:
This position is for a Business Analyst role the Enterprise Business Analytics team at Zions Bancorporation. This role focuses on delivering insight from data that is actionable and will drive revenue growth, cost reduction, or meet new regulatory requirements. The team works on strategic projects with tactical components that aim to drive all business decisions to be data driven.

This role focuses on delivering insight from data that is actionable and will drive revenue growth, cost reduction, or meet new regulatory requirements. The team works on strategic projects with tactical components that aim to drive all business decisions to be data driven.
These solutions support marketing and customer management analytics, credit and financial analytics, regulatory reporting initiatives, and solutions for integration data driven information into operational procedures. We work with and deliver value to senior executives, tellers and every corporate and affiliate level in between. The successful candidate will be responsible for business analytics projects starting with gathering and defining the initial requirements, understanding source application data files, prototyping, coding, testing, implementation, and production support. The successful candidate must also have the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical resources.
Business Analyst - Duties & Responsibilities:
Ownership to create and present analytics and reporting capabilities, including key performance and risk indicators, regulatory reporting, business scorecards, process simulation and other actionable metrics.
Coordination, facilitation and relationship management with affiliates and corporate staff groups including risk management, compliance, credit, finance, marketing, product development, branch operations, and process improvement.
Integration and analysis of diverse loan data to identify and evaluate risks and opportunities.
Document and present analytic models to the Model Control Committee for validation and approval.
Develop and adhere to a formal, documented model control process for trying and evaluating new challenger models.
Coordination with affiliate teams for development and management of new model inputs and approval of the outputs.
Conduct industry and internal benchmarking analyses
Provides analytical support to affiliates and corporate teams
Business Analyst - Skill Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related area of study
2+ years working in a data warehouse/business intelligence environment or related field. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements
Strong SQL background
Understanding of relational and dimensional data models and structures
Experience in banking or financial services preferred
Experience working with formal project management methodologies or a project management certification preferred
