Job Title: Sr. AIX Adminstrator
Location: Memphis, TN
Duration: 9 month plus
Sr. AIX Administrator
Immediate opportunity to apply your AIX skills in a lead role. Bring your hands-on AIX System Administration experience on p-Series servers to a high activity corporate environment. Candidates must be able to perform daily tasks independently and make system recommendations.
Required:
* 5+ years experience in a Sr. level AIX Administration
* Able to independently define the steps and complete the server build process, including; Operating System install, LPAR configurations, storage management.
* Must have current AIX and IBM pSeries/PowerVM experience
* Data Migration and server consolidation experience.
* AIX, Windows, VIO, HMC, DLPAR, NPIV, HACMP, Scripting, LPM, NIM
* Configure, deploy, and maintain IBM Power7/pSeries systems utilizing PowerVM.
* Address user requests via ticketing system
* Highly motivated team player with an ability to lead
* Create and maintain configuration and process documentation
Preferred experience;
* General Scripting: Shell and Perl
* DNS, DHCP and NIS
* Understanding of SAN and server side storage management
* Understanding of automated system builds with DHCP/PXE/Kickstart/NIM
* Good understanding of backup and recovery processes and methods
* Participation in on-call rotation
