Tyra Banks has a new piece of art to hang on her walls. She graduated last week from the Harvard Business School's Executive Education Owner/President Management Program.
The super-busy supermodel and entrepreneur chatted with us via e-mail about the experience:
1. How hard/intimidating was Harvard?
"This was my third year there so I was more comfortable but it's always intimidating to be around all those smarties. All my teachers and my classmates are just so inspiring and get me motivated because they come from all different successful industries! I went straight from high school to modeling, so I never got the college experience and this was my chance to see what dorm life was like, eat in a cafeteria, and live on a campus -- and what better place to do it than Harvard!"
2. How did people treat you/react to you at Harvard?
"When I'm at Harvard, I'm rockin' a Harvard hoodie and jeans! We're just all about studying, learning and growing our businesses. I made some really smart, close friends while I was there ...we're already planning a reunion. I really feel like we all grew in that experience together."
3. What is the biggest lesson you learned from the program and how have you put it to use so far?
Strategy and negotiation are the two biggest topics we discuss at Harvard. It's all about quality over quantity. I came back after my first term and re-evaluated a bunch of projects with my team. We have to focus on what's best for our brand.
4. Can you think of other stars who might benefit from going to this program? Why?
"I'd highly recommend it to anyone that owns their own company and has a brand they want to keep growing and adapting."
5. How long will does she envision doing America's Next Top Model?
Last night, America's Next Top Model returned for an 18th season with a twist -- a "British Invasion," says Banks.
"I'll keep it going as long as my loyal fam wants it!"
