Sean "Diddy" Combs threw a big private New Year's Eve party for friends including Rihanna and Nelly at his mansion on Miami's Star Island. While there was no sign of Cameron Diaz, who he has been seen cozying up to recently, Diddy was spotted in "deep conversation" with Rihanna, who appeared to be steering clear of her ex, LA Dodgers star Matt Kemp, who was also there with a huge entourage. Model Selita Ebanks did the countdown to 2012, and Jessica White was later spotted dancing with Rihanna to music spun by DJ Kiss. Diddy's kids also took to the dance floor. DJ Khaled debuted his new song at the party, but was careful it didn't fall into the wrong hands. A spy reports, "He gave DJ Kiss a USB [flash drive] to play and then took it back because he didn't want the song to be leaked." Also there were Paula Patton, Robin Thicke, Star Jones, Gayle King, Vivica Fox, Nene Leakes, Fat Joe, Sanaa Lathan, Jermaine Dupri and Rick Ross, and the bash went until 6 a.m.
