Rihanna's has upset an anti-rape organization with her music video "We Found Love," which depicts a tumultuous relationship between the songstress and her co-star, Dudley O'Shaughnessy, who just so happens to look a lot like her ex, Chris Brown.
The on-screen duo battles their way through a toxic mix of sex, drugs, and abuse — which many are interpreting as a re-enactment of Rihanna's own abusive relationship with Brown.
Criticism of the video comes on behalf of anti-rape activists who are concerned about the message the video sends about objectifying women. "Rihanna's new video is a disgrace. It sends the message that she is an object to be possessed by men, which is disturbingly what we see in real violence cases." Eileen Kelly of the Rape Crisis Center in the U.K. told Britain's Daily Star.
