Qualifications:
Candidates must have 5+ years experience in software development with a track record of shipping large cross-functional projects in a high scale, global internet service environment.
Solid experience in customer centric web application development with a passion for customer usability, simplicity, and performance.
Excellent problem solving skills and technical acumen in design & operations of high scale internet services.
Solid experience with object oriented design with a bias for rapid development, platform reusability, maintainability, and supportability.
Experience developing globalized applications supporting many browsers, devices, locales, customer roles, etc.
Solid experience with the full development lifecycle from concept through delivery and 24x7 operations.
Experience in building high performance applications for high transaction, distributed applications supporting operational monitoring, load balancing, real time debugging, multi-threading, async communications, etc. Java server development environment preferred.
A deep understanding of web platform technologies ranging from Java, TomCat, JavaScript, XML, HTML, TCP/IP, HTTP, REST, SOAP, SOA, Eclipse, Freemarker, Spring MVC, POJO EJB, SQL, JDBC, SaxParsers, JAXB, JUnit, Netscaler, Windows, C++.
Solid oral/written communication skills with proven ability to work closely with both business and technology stakeholders to make trade-offs between cost, schedule, product feature set.
Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to work amidst a fast paced environment with diverse teams working from many locations.
Ideal candidate will have experience in Rapid Application development methodologies – Agile, Scrum, Test Driven Development, etc.
Experience in the Internet Ecommerce and/or Online Travel industry preferred
A BS degree in a CS or related engineering discipline strongly preferred
