Beyonce rocked Central Park this morning for Good Morning America's summer concert series.
She talked about her new 4 album, her new movie and her feet.
Of the album: "It's all my influences that inspired me over my travels. I was able to see some festivals and artists (during her recent break from work). It's a bit of rock, jazz, live instrumentation. I wanted to bring chords, bridges and melody back on the radio. I thought I've earned the right to make artistic music and not just radio songs."
Of the movie she will soon start, A Star is Born with director Clint Eastwood: "I can't believe it still. When I met with him I was just in awe. I'm so honored that he believes in me. I can't wait to do this film. ... For me to be a chosen person, and as an African American woman, it is incredible."
Fielding a question from a fan who wondered if her feet ever hurt her: "They do! Sometimes they're numb. Sometimes they bleed - just like a ballet dancer. But I don't even think about it. I'm just usually so focused on stage and connecting with the audience I don't feel my feet until I leave the stage. Then I'm at home and oh, my lord ... "
