{blackbabes} Beyonce, Gomez can't top Adele in Canada

Adele got some stiff competition from two fellow female stars, but they weren't strong enough to knock her out of top spot in the land.

Her mega-hit disc "21" remained at No. 1 for a second straight week, selling 13,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

It held off the high debuts from Beyonce and her new effort "4" (8,700), which landed at No. 3, as well as Selena Gomez & the Scene's "When the Sun Goes Down" (9,000), which slid in behind Adele at No. 2.

Another female giant, Lady Gaga, gained one position to No. 4 with "Born This Way," while LMFAO's "Sorry for Party Rocking" went the other way, dropping two to No. 5.

Eminem's latest project Bad Meets Evil's EP ""Hell: The Sequel" moved up one notch to No. 6, Pitbull's "Planet Pit" had no bark in its second week, dropping three to No. 7, and Simple Plan's latest "Get Your Heart On!" plummeted six levels to No. 8.

The compilation "Mixmania 2" spent its fourth week at No. 9, and Bon Iver's self-titled effort held on to the No. 10 spot.

In the U.S., Beyonce landed her fourth consecutive No. 1 album with "4," which sold a healthy 310,000 copies, according to Billboard.com. She was followed by Adele in second, Big Sean's "Finally Famous" in third, Selena Gomez & the Scene in fourth, and Jill Scott's "The Light of the Sun" in fifth.
