Position:Cognos Consultant
Location:Portland Oregon
Duration:3+months

Description:

Requirements:
1. BS or BA in computer science, business, or equivalent preferred
2.  4+ years experience using Cognos BI suite
3.  Demonstrated Cognos technical expertise and experience in the configuration and administration of Cognos 8.4+, preferably on Unix or Lunix platform
4.    Demonstrated Cognos technical expertise and experience in the report development using Cognos 8.4+ BI suite to include Query Studio, Report Studio, PowerPlay Transformer, Metrics Studio, Analysis Studio, Event Studio, Data Manager, and Framework Manager
5.    Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills
6.    Good interpersonal skills
7.    Solid Oracle skills and experience to include SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database skills, including development of views, tables, stored procedures and techniques for query optimization
8.    Strong Unix and/or Linux experience and skills
9.    3+ years experience in relational and dimensional modeling and data mart/data warehouse development, OLAP
10. Current Cognos TM1 9.5+ administration and development is preferred
11. Solid mentoring and training skills are required
12. Capable of documenting user requirements and developing business intelligence specifications
13. Higher education experience is a plus
