Location: New York, NY
Duration:6+months
Rate:$45/hr corp to corp

Job Description:

Your Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Back End Web Developer with strong Backend skills and an understanding of Front End development (JavaScript, Ajax etc.). Our team is small, agile, and staffed with skilled developers, all with their own specialties, but all able to contribute to every aspect of a project if need be.

The right candidate is someone who enjoys working in a close, friendly, collaborative team. Someone who is able to self manage and translate business requirements into practical tasks, and who possesses the desire to learn and help those around them.

Your primary task at the outset will be to work on a new edition of a groundbreaking platform that ties into a number of social media sites and new technologies. The first step will be to migrate the project from Web Forms to MVC. As a result, a deep understanding of both frameworks is essential.

Key Responsibilities Include:
-Working to understand and update an existing code base to match new functional specs and technical requirements
-.Net Back End development
-Working with Twitter, Facebook and several other APIs to collect and display data

Required skills:
-ASP.NET, C#
-Experience building and using REST APIs and clients
-Experience with Linq and the MVC and Web Forms frameworks
-Ability and desire to learn new languages and/or development skills is a must
-Familiarity with social media APIs for sites such as Facebook and Twitter

Preferred candidates would also have experience with some of the following:
-Ajax/jQuery and an understanding of the fundamental mechanisms of the web (POST, GET, client side vs server side)
-Application programming for the iPhones, Androids and other mobile devices
- Agency experience
Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience and a degree in a related field
