BRUSSELS (AP)—Venus Williams has pulled out of next week's Brussels Open, a warm-up tournament for the French Open.

Organizers say Williams, who is coming off a long injury layoff, faced a lack of preparation for the event.

Williams hasn't been played a competitive match since retiring from the third round at the Australian Open in January with a hip injury.
