The case against cranky catwalker Naomi Campbell for allegedly lying about a perfume deal is going to take a little longer. Her former agent, Carole White, claims Campbell, her manager and her lawyer lied under oath to thwart her $10 million suit over Campbell's perfume royalties. White and her company are suing the model for allegedly reneging on a perfume deal.
Campbell then made a stink, saying White overstated her involvement with the fragrance. But White then offered a recording of a 2006 meeting about the deal, which she says subjects Campbell and her lawyer to a perjury charge. Yesterday, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Judith Gische called the allegations "serious," but said Campbell and her team should have an opportunity to defend themselves before she decides whether to refer them to the district attorney. Campbell's lawyer "categorically" denied the allegations, as do Campbell and her manager.
