Jay-Z has spoken out to officially dismiss rumours he is expecting a baby with his wife Beyonce - insisting the pop superstar is definitely not pregnant.

The notoriously private couple came under the spotlight last week following a spate of rumours which suggested they had a baby on the way.

Beyonce's mother Tina laughed off the gossip during a subsequent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and now Jay-Z has broken his silence about his personal life to insist there is "no truth" to the stories.

He tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, "I'm just shooting down the rumours before they start. They do that every slow news day, this is like the fifth time. I think we have five kids now. No truth, but I wonder when people will stop giving it relevance?

"You can't do the same subject. At least change the subject, they have to find a new one."
