How long can Bonnie keep her death a secret?

On the Vampire Diaries season premiere, summer is over which means Bonnie (Kat Graham) will have to find a new excuse for not being back from traveling. But the former witch can't bear to tell her friends the sad news about her demise, which means she — and Jeremy (Steven McQueen) — plan to keep up the ruse. But will it be long before even Jeremy is tired of telling the lie?

In our exclusive clip from Thursday's episode (8/7c, The CW), titled "I Know What You Did Last Summer," Bonnie explains to Jeremy why she won't give up the truth and why they're lucky to be in their current situation.

"How many people die and still get to talk to their best friends?" Bonnie says.

"How many best friends can't feel each other?" Jeremy responds.

"[Bonnie's death] creates this intense intimacy, even as a friend, that they never had before," Graham recently told us. "There were always distractions and they weren't ever forced to always just 'be.' You'll see a lot of us working together early on in the season."

{blackbabes} Nathalie Emmanuel talks 'Fast & Furious 7'

"Game of Thrones" star Nathalie Emmanuel is keeping her character in the upcoming "Fast & Furious 7" largely under wraps, but she's sharing a few tidbits about what fans of the series should expect. 

"She's already potentially a new member of this sort of gang," Emmanuel tells Digital Spy of her character. "It's a very cool role and it's really fun to play because she's a really intelligent, cool, kind of quirky girl" So get ready to see Nathalie alongside the likes of Vin Diesel, Ludacris, and Tyrese Gibson.

As for what keeps the series popular, Emmanuel says there is a theme beyond all of the explosions and racing, that ties it all together. There are so many action films that are out, but I think what keeps them going are that family that has been formed and the characters, the love of the characters that we've come to know and love so far," she explains. "People just want to know what's going on and what's happening to those characters because there's been so much drama already."

"Fast & Furious 7" is currently filming for a July 11, 2014 release.
