{blackbabes} Misty Copeland Is Married! Ballet Dancer Weds Olu Evans

Misty Copeland, Olu Evans

Congratulations, Misty Copeland!

The famous ballerina—who is known for breaking body stereotypes in the dance world—tied the knot Sunday with her longtime beau, Olu Evans.

E! News can confirm that pair, who have been together for 10 years, got married at the Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach, overlooking the ocean in a gorgeous ceremony.

An insider tells E! News it was a very romantic, "small and intimate wedding" with only 100 guests. We're also told Copeland looked like an "ethereal goddess" in her gown designed by Inbal Dror, which she accessorized with shoes designed by Christian Louboutin.

The decorations included white and pink roses as well as pink hydrangeas.

Copeland previously spoke to E! News about her wedding, revealing she was hoping to keep it "classy" and "simple."

"It's interesting that I'm a ballerina, which is so girly and feminine and what every little girl dreams of," she explained. "But it's a character I'm playing, and that's so much fun to be that. It's, I guess, how people envision their wedding days, and that's my life."

She continued, "So I feel like I get to become a fairy princess on stage and wear incredible costumes and gowns to galas. So, for me, I just want to have a simple, as easy-going day as I can have and just not have it be a big show. I just want it to be simple and classy and not feel like I'm in a tutu."

Well, it looks like she got just that! Congratulations to the couple on their special day!

{blackbabes} Rio 2016: Insider's guide - Tennis

Venue: Olympic Tennis Centre

Medals available: 15

Dates: Men's Singles - August 6-14, Women's Singles - August 6-13, Men's Doubles - Aug 6-12, Women's Doubles - Aug 6-14, Mixed Doubles - Aug 10-14

Dominant nations: Thanks to the Williams sisters and Bryan brothers, the United States won three of the five gold medals on offer in London, taking the nation's tally to 20 in tennis at the Games

Star names: Serena Williams (USA), Novak Djokovic (Serbia)

Serena Williams may well be the queen of Olympic tennis but a gold medal has proven elusive for Novak Djokovic.

Like Venus, Serena is a record four-time tennis gold medalist, her singles win at London 2012 adding to the doubles crowns won with her sister at the All England Club, Sydney and Beijing.

As with so much of her career, winning at the Games has appeared easy for 22-time grand slam champion Serena, yet Djokovic - the similarly dominant world number one in the men's game - is still waiting to be an Olympic champion.

At Beijing 2008 and London 2012, respective singles winners Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray ended the Serbian's run in the semi-finals.

While grand slams remain the pinnacle of the sport, Olympic tennis is serious competition despite no ranking points being on offer.

Just ask Roger Federer - whose only gold came in doubles (2008) - and Juan Martin del Potro, after they played out an epic semi-final lasting four hours and 26 minutes in London, with the Swiss great winning 19-17 in the third set.

Injury has denied Federer the chance to compete this time around, but Nadal is hopeful of being fully fit for the Games following a wrist injury and recently crowned Wimbledon champion Murray shapes as the chief threat to Djokovic.

Albeit not the unstoppable force they once were, Bryan brothers Mike and Bob will be favoured in the men's doubles, while Serena and Venus are set to combine in the women's.

The mixed doubles was played for the first time since 1924 in London, where Belarusian pair Victoria Azarenka and Max Mirnyi combined for gold.

The world's top 56 in the men's and women's singles rankings on June 6 qualified for the Olympics, but no more than four players can represent each country.

South America is known for hosting events on clay, but organisers in Rio have instead opted for hard courts to suit players' preparations for the US Open.

The similarity to the Flushing Meadows courts is likely to favour Serena, Djokovic and Murray in their quests for gold.

For Serena, it is a chance to add another prize to her trophy cabinet, while Djokovic searches for one that has so far proven too tough.

{blackbabes} Venus out as Keys advances in Montreal

Montreal (AFP) - Venus Williams tumbled out in the third round of the Rogers Cup in Montreal, suffering an upset loss to Madison Keys in her final tournament before the Olympics.

The sixth-seeded Williams was beaten 6-1, 6-7 (2/7), 6-3 by 10th seed Keys, who will now face Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the quarter-finals.

Williams, 36, looked well below her best as Keys raced away with the first set before forging a 3-1 lead in the second.

However Williams, who reached the final of last week's tournament in Stanford, rallied to level with victory in the second set tiebreak.

Keys raised her game in the decisive third set however and quickly broke Williams to gain the advantage before converting match point with an ace to seal the win.

Pavlyuchenkova earlier scored the biggest upset of the day with a three-set victory over 2014 champion and fourth seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland, winning 6-4, 6-7 (4/7), 6-1.

The win comes hard on the heels of her impressive showing at Wimbledon where she reached the quarter-finals for the first time.

"I'm really happy and I knew it'd be a tough match. Every time I play against Agnieszka it's 7-6 in the third, or something," the in-form Russian said.

"She's a really tough opponent, and so I'm really pleased with the win."

Elsewhere Thursday, fifth seed Simona Halep breezed into the last eight, needing just 68 minutes to claim a 6-3, 6-3 win over 14th-ranked Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic.

"I'm happy that I won today. It's nice to be in the quarterfinals again, a second year in a row," the 24-year-old Romanian said.

Halep will face ninth-ranked Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia in the next round. Kuznetsova defeated 12th seed Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic 7-6 (7/2) 6-3.

In another Russian victory on Thursday, Daria Kasatkina knocked out seventh-ranked Italian Roberta Vinci, 7-5, 6-3.

{blackbabes} The real reason Ed Hartwell split from Keshia Knight Pulliam

Keshia Knight Pulliam's marriage to Ed Hartwell fell apart after just two months, Hartwell told "Page Six TV" exclusively.

Speaking to the media for the first time since sensationally filing divorce papers on Monday, Hartwell, 38, said that their marriage was torn apart by jealousy, disagreements about starting a family and suspicions about infidelity on both sides.

Hartwell, who married "Cosby Show" star Knight Pulliam, 37, on January 1 after dating for four months, said that they stopped having sex once the romance soured — but claims she was so fixated on getting pregnant he suspects she went behind his back to do it.

He told us that after they wed, "she wanted a baby really fast, and what I was trying to explain to her was that — from my beliefs, from seeing other successful people — that when you first get married, especially since we didn't have a long courtship, that we should actually focus on each other and not just have a baby. That's something she really did want to do."

Hartwell added that in February he "had a sit-down" with his wife, who became the youngest-ever winner of an Emmy award for her role as Rudy Huxtable on the once-beloved NBC show.

"I said, 'I think we probably messed up. I think we moved too fast,'" he told us, "'Our lives and wants are headed two different directions.'"

During the heart-to-heart Hartwell confessed that his ex, whom he dated for four years, had "lost a baby" and it made him realize he still "cared about her." Knight Pulliam was so upset after Hartwell's admission that she virtually disappeared from his life.

"[Knight Pulliam] wasn't mad that I still cared about her," Hartwell, who played for the Baltimore Ravens, said. "All she was a mad about was, 'You don't want to have a baby, but you're mad about her baby. You can't talk to her 13-year-old daughter. And there was a big fall-out."

Hartwell added that his wife fled to visit a spiritualist and "started going out with friends all the time and not telling me when she was coming home or sometimes not coming home at all."

After the confrontation, Hartwell — who has a 9-year-old son, Ed Jr. with his ex-wife, former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Lisa Wu — says Knight Pulliam was willing to have a baby by any means possible, through in vitro, adoption or naturally.

"What I learned about her is that if she wants something, she wants it now and she's going to go get it. That's one of the reasons we actually stopped having sex," he said.

The former linebacker, who has asked for a paternity test for Knight Pulliam's unborn child, moved out of the house, and was surprised to discover Knight Pulliam was pregnant — but returned home to support her.

"As time kept going past and the days went past, some things just weren't adding up. So for me it's not me saying she's a bad person," he said. "She wants what she wants, I want what I want: she wants a baby, I want to find love and happiness. But at the end of the day, I think if things don't add up, I think it's fair for me, if things don't add up, to want a test."

"I can't say she's been unfaithful. I can say she's stayed out, she's not came home, she's went out-of-town … for three days, I don't know what's going on. I can say that," he said. "I can't say she was unfaithful. I can say she wanted to get in vitro, I can say she wanted to do some things to make sure she got pregnant. I just want to make sure it is mine."

Meanwhile, he denied allegations made by his soon-to-be-ex wife on "Entertainment Tonight" on Wednesday night that he cheated on her, and accused her of stretching the truth to make herself look better.

"One thing I have found out about her — and it's not to bash her — is that she can tell a half-truth to make sure that she seems like, I don't want to say the victim," he said. "But that she's the one that's right."

{blackbabes} Rosario Dawson and Shailene Woodley still not sold on Hillary

Sorry Sarah Silverman, not all celeb Bernie Sanders supporters are hopping on Hillary Clinton's bandwagon.

Rosario Dawson and Shailene Woodley are joining Susan Sarandon in their skepticism of Clinton's campaign.

"There's a lot of talk about unity, but we're not feeling it, we're not seeing it, it's not being reflected to individual delegates I've spoken to … [there are] a lot of voters who didn't even get to be counted, so that we're not just saying unity, but trying to build it," Sanders support Dawson, 37, told the Young Turks.

Dawson was particularly peeved by the recent DNC email leaks' implication that the party was biased against Sanders from the start.

"When Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigns because of the DNC leaks and is immediately hired and there's nothing in the statement from Hillary Clinton that even acknowledges the reason why she's now available to run her campaign … there's already a trust gap, there's already a feeling that there isn't integrity there," Dawson said. "They want not just our votes, they want that energy, they want that phone banking, they want that canvassing, they want what people were inspired to do for Bernie Sanders, and [supporters are] not feeling that inspiration. The narrative that's being pushed is that there's this wonderful unity that's going on, and in reality, there [was] a huge walkout yesterday."

"It has not been a fair fight. It's been an ugly fight," she continued. "The DNC leaks just showed this weekend that there was a willingness to be anti-Semitic in order to push back against Bernie Sanders. That's big, and that's not being acknowledged."

Woodley, 24, had her own reasons for not joining Clinton's camp just yet. "If you tell someone, 'You have to vote for this person to prevent A, B, C and D,' I don't think there's going to be much momentum."

Dawson echoed the sentiment. "When I'm at the DNC and I'm seeing Trump's name everywhere because 'Love Trumps Hate,' I want to know that that love is actually there. Saying that you're better than Trump is not saying very much … I think it's important that [Sanders supporters'] votes are earned and not just expected to be delivered."

{blackbabes} Venus Williams earns dominant win at Rogers Cup

MONTREAL — Venus Williams opened play in the Rogers Cup on Wednesday with a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Barbora Strycova.

Playing her last event before the Rio Olympics, the 36-year-old Williams finished off the overmatched Czech player in 58 minutes. Williams was coming a loss to Britain's Johanna Konta on Sunday in the final of the Bank of the West Classic in California.

"It was definitely more straightforward than some of our other matches," Williams said. "I'm never happy with my matches. Even an easy scoreline is never enough. But it's about figuring out how to win instead of playing perfect."

The seven-time Grand Slam champion, seeded sixth, gave up 10 points in the 24-minute second set.

The only hiccup for Williams was the seventh game of the first set. Up 4-2, she had her serve broken.

"I just needed to stay focused," said Williams. "A 4-4 is definitely different than a 5-3. But it wasn't necessarily a turning point, because there are matches where I've been down and came back, and vice versa, so you realize that the match isn't over until it's over."

Williams will face Madison Keys in the first round. Keys beat fellow American Madison Brengle 6-4, 6-3.

Konta also advanced, topping Vania King of the United States 7-5, 6-1.

Fourth-seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland beat Monica Niculescu of Romania 6-1, 7-5; seventh-seeded Roberta Vinci topped fellow Italian Camila Giorgi 2-6, 6-3, 6-4; and Slovakia's Kristina Kucova beat eighth-seeded Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Hometown player Francoise Abanda tumbled out, falling 7-6 (2), 7-6 (3) to Ukraine's Elina Svitolina. The 19-year-old from Montreal pushed both sets to tiebreakers, but her service game let her down. Svitolina broke the Canadian twice in the first set, and four times in the second set in the second-round match.

Svitolina will face second-seeded Angelique Kerber of Germany or Mirjana Lucic-Baroni of Croatia.

{blackbabes} Zoë Saldana Says Grandparents and Nannies Are a Huge Help in Raising Twin Sons: We ‘Have a Great Village’

Zoë Saldana has proven her space-influenced acting skills, zipping around onscreen universes in Guardians of the Galaxy and the Star Trek films — including the newest installment in the latter series, Star Trek Beyond.

Perhaps a more out-of-this world challenge for her? Juggling a hectic filming schedule with parenting twins. Luckily, her husband Marco Perego is there to help her find the balance.

"We're a good team, but we also have a great village, so his parents are around. And when they can't [be], then my mother's around, but we always have our nannies," Saldana, 38, tells PEOPLE of parenting now-20-month old sons Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio with Perego, who is an Italian-born artist.

"If we're [filming] on location, my husband will be with us for 10 days and then he'll fly back for four, but we can't be more than one week away from each other," she adds. "That's a promise we've made that we're trying to keep."

Zoe Saldana Star Trek Filming with Twin Sons

The feminist actress and dancer is also candid about how her life, and its scheduling priorities, has changed even after the cameras stop rolling.

"Last summer, [when] we were shooting [Star Trek Beyond], the whole cast got to spend more time together because half of them are not parents yet, and I had twin boys that were 6 months old," she recounts. "I had just gotten over breastfeeding and I just couldn't come out every evening after shooting and having dinner.

"I didn't want to, either," she continues. "I wanted to go home, and [with] the only 20 minutes that I had, I wanted to bathe my boys and put them to sleep."And though the mother of two understands the changes that come along with having children, there are some things about her pre-mom life that she admittedly misses.

"These are sacrifices that you make and you have to make them willingly, but you also have to be disciplined and determined," Saldana says.

"Every other day I wanted to drink a bottle of wine and pass out like I used to — watching, like, investigative shows," she admits. "I can't do that [now]."

{blackbabes} MacGyver Reboot Adds Vampire Diaries' Tristin Mays as Series Regular

MacGyver Tristin Mays

MacGyver has recruited his final team member in advance of his return to television this fall.

Tristin Mays (The Vampire Diaries) has joined the CBS reboot as a series regular, TVLine has learned. Mays will play Riley Davis, a "highly unpredictable" computer hacker who isn't exactly thrilled to be working alongside MacGyver and his team — but it sure beats rotting in prison, right? (Note: This completes casting for the retooled reboot.)

Riley will make her first appearance in MacGyver's series premiere, airing Friday, Sept. 23 at 8/7c. In addition to TVD, Mays' small-screen credits include roles on Supergirl, The Newsroom and Everybody Hates Chris.

MacGyver also stars Lucas Till, George Eads, Justin Hires and Sandrine Holt.

{blackbabes} How Venus Williams Quietly Became a Successful Entrepreneur (and Why She Can't Go to Movies)

Unless you've been living totally off the grid for the past twenty-two years, you know Venus Williams: ranked the world's #1 tennis player on three separate occasions; winner of 7 Grand Slam singles titles; winner of 14 Grand Slam doubles championships; 4-time Olympic gold medalist... I could go on and on. Her legacy as one of the all-time tennis greats is assured.

What you probably don't know is that Venus has quietly crafted a successful career as an entrepreneur, launching her active wear brand EleVen, a clothing company that makes tennis clothing and performance women's clothing for yoga, fitness, running and dance.

EleVen is anything but a celebrity vanity project: Venus is heavily involved in design, planning, operations, marketing... she even personally packages some orders (and when she does she includes a card that says "Packed by Venus.")

That makes Venus Williams, like many successful entrepreneurs, what I call an "and."  Most people assume the path to success lies in focusing on just one thing. Venus has never felt she should just focus on tennis: she can be a tennis player and a student and a designer and an entrepreneur.

And that's why, when we spoke, I didn't focus on tennis -- because as you'll see Venus is about a lot more than tennis. (And is just as delightful as you imagined.)

I would think being you is an advantage and a disadvantage. You have instant name recognition so that can get you into a lot of rooms... but there are plenty of athletes and celebrities who see a startup as a vanity project. Clearly you're serious about yours, so how do you get past the assumption you might be more figurehead than key player?

It's interesting you bring that up. That is a fact. People know you. They know your name and they respect what you've done in athletics. But they don't automatically think you can transfer that focus to a business.

In my case that's definitely not true. I've been very focused on my career outside of tennis. I've gone to school for business, for design, for architecture... my business is real for me.

So you're right: having people know who I am is an advantage because it can help me get in the door, but once you're inside you have to prove you know what you're doing.  One thing I've done is surround myself with people who are as good as me or better. That alone speaks for itself.

After that it's all about building credibility. You have to bring your best every day. And you have to be there next year, and the next year, and five years later. You have to show that you're committed. I am, so that's easy.

Say you're in a meeting with your employees, or vendors, or retailers... you pick. What is your biggest strength in that setting?

I'm a collaborator. I know I don't know everything. I don't want to know everything.

Like I said, I love to have people around me that are better than me. I want to know everyone's input and figure out how to make an idea better as a team.

That's my strength.

But during key moments don't you struggle to not just take over? I know I'm generalizing, but when you're on the court it's just you... so it would be easy to default to "if it is to be, it's up to me."

I like not taking over. In tennis you're all by yourself and no one can help you. You just have to do it. When you're on a team, if you are the only person making a decision you miss out on amazing input and growth.

Of course sometimes I have to make the final decision. I don't mind doing that, but I like to make sure people are empowered to make their own decisions. I won't micro-manage, but I will sometimes step in. Achieving that balance is hard, but it's really important.

You've been incredibly successful in tennis yet you've been working towards building separate careers for years. You're definitely an "and."

To me that's normal. From an early age I had to figure out how to be amazing at what I did and do well in school at the same time.

In my home we weren't allowed just to be athletes. We had to be students. And our dad taught us to be entrepreneurs.

We would drive to a tennis tournament somewhere and he would put in a cassette about buying foreclosure properties. We were eight and nine years old and we had to listen to how to make money on foreclosures.

Obviously we didn't understand much of it. That didn't really matter, because our dad was trying to establish that mindset of multitasking, of being an entrepreneur, of charting your own path... so for me, trying to excel at multiple things is normal.

I also realized early on that even the longest athletic careers are actually really short. When you're an athlete, you're "done" early in life, so I decided to see that not as a limitation but an opportunity. So I've always been focused on having goals beyond tennis.

I know nothing about the business of fashion. Is it all about creating a number of lines, or hitting some home runs with a few designs, or placing your lines with major retailers... what is your path to growth?

Let's face it: if you want to grow you have to hit a lot of home runs, but you have to know your strengths.

In fashion you have core pieces everyone wants every season; no matter how many years you carry them in your line, people look for them. Yet we also change our collection every season, and that's important too. And distribution is also key. But our path to success is knowing who we are and always staying true to that.

That goes back to what you asked about coming from another industry. A lot of celebrities put their name on something like a clothing line and suddenly they come out with 500 SKUs and no one understands how that could happen because there was no culture, no message... they just suddenly appeared.

We know who we are. We have a very clear point of view. Our focus is on being your best, bringing your best, living a healthy lifestyle, and enjoying the clothes you wear.

Who we are is very distinct. That has made us stand out. We don't want to be someone else. We want to be EleVen.

How do you manage your time? You're just coming off the Wimbledon singles semifinals and winning the doubles title... and a couple days later you're talking to me. You're trying to excel - truly excel -- in a number of different fields.

I definitely have to stay focused on my priorities.

The first thing I do in the morning is work out. If I want to get to work earlier, I get up earlier. And we have a great team. They know what I can do, when. And they excel at their roles. Knowing each other's strengths and playing to those strengths has really been the key.

But I'm also just made this way. For example, I can't go to the movies. The thought of going to the movies drives me crazy because that would mean I would have to sit still.

Is your drive compulsive or fun-driven?

I'm definitely fun driven. At times I'm a little compulsive... or maybe somewhat obsessive side rather than compulsive. I get into things because I love them.

If you live this sort of life you have to be somewhat compulsive, but I take it easy on other people. I try not to drive anyone crazy besides myself.

You're extremely involved in EleVen. You have a design education, you've surrounded yourself with talented people... but there's still plenty you've had to learn about running a business.

It's the things they don't teach you in business school. My expertise is in design, but knowledge about the operations side is really important. But sometimes that knowledge comes the hard way.

Here's an example. Last year we thought we didn't have all the in-house expertise we needed to support all of our production needs, we we decided to outsource some of that.. and we should have been more hands-on and kept production in-house.

Perhaps I'm not a production expert, but since then I've learned a ton.

One of the things you have to do is really expose yourself to everything. I'm never going to be an IT expert because IT will never make my heart beat fast, but I have to be able to speak that language.

Ultimately you know you'll make mistakes. The key is trying to minimize the impact -- and learn from them.

No matter what else you accomplish your legacy in tennis is assured. So let's flip that around. Say you're sixty and looking back on your business life: what would you want to be able to say?

For me it's about building. I love to see things grow. I love ideas. I love putting things together.

For me it's setting a goal and actually achieving it. I like to dream big. As long as I've achieved my goals, I'll be happy and proud. I would also like to have been seen as a flexible leader, someone who could adapt and change and grow and help the people around her succeed, too.

That's the great thing about business. There isn't just one winner. There's room for everyone to win. I love that.

{blackbabes} FOUR-TIME OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST SANYA RICHARDS-ROSS AND OLYMPIC MEDALIST TREY HARDEE JOIN NBC OLYMPICS’ COVERAGE OF TRACK & FIELD IN RIO

STAMFORD, Conn. – July 26, 2016 – Four-time Olympic gold medalist Sanya Richards-Ross and 2012 Olympic decathlon silver medalist Trey Hardee will join NBC Olympics' coverage of track and field at the Games of the XXXI Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro. The Opening Ceremony is next Friday, August 5 on NBC.

Richards-Ross, who retired from track on July 1, and Hardee head to Rio for their first Olympic assignment after contributing to NBC Sports Group's coverage of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials as guest analysts.

"We're thrilled to bring the expertise of Sanya and Trey to our Track and Field coverage, where they will take viewers inside the sport and provide specific details and insights about the athletes," said Jim Bell, Executive Producer, NBC Olympics.

Long-ranked the world's best 400m runner, Richards-Ross brought home her first 400m Olympic gold in 2012. In addition, she is a member of the four-time World Championship and three-time Olympic gold medal 4x400m team. Considered one of the world's fastest women, she has the most sub-50 second 400m races in history. Named Visa Humanitarian of the Year in 2005, her namesake charity, the "Sanya Richards Fast Track Program" benefits children in need in her native Jamaica. Created in 2007, the program combines literacy, numeracy and promotes an active and healthy lifestyle through sports.

Hardee won the Olympic decathlon silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics. Combined with the gold medal from world record holder Ashton Eaton, it was the first time Americans had finished first and second in the event at the Olympics since 1956. A two-time World Outdoor gold medalist, Hardee's personal best of 8,790, which he set in Berlin in 2009, currently ranks behind just Ashton Eaton, Dan O' Brien and Bryan Clay in the event in American history. It was also the highest decathlon score at a World Championships since 2001. Hardee joined O'Brien (1991, 1993, 1995), Tom Pappas (2003) and Clay (2005) as the only Americans ever to win the world decathlon title.

Tom Hammond, who has won acclaim for his memorable calls at the last six Summer Olympics, will once again call NBC Olympics track & field coverage. Kenny Albert will handle play-by-play duties for track events on NBCSN, making his Summer Olympics debut for NBC after calling Olympic hockey since 2002, and Todd Harris handles play-by-play for field events – his fifth Olympic assignment. Ato Boldon returns as an analyst in his fourth Olympic assignment. Lewis Johnson will serve as a track and field reporter in his ninth assignment with NBC Olympics. Craig Masback, who worked as a track & field commentator for NBC in Barcelona, Atlanta, Beijing, and London, returns to provide analysis on the men's marathon and distance races. Tim Hutchings, a former middle-distance runner who represented Great Britain at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, will provide analysis on the marathons.

THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE RIO OLYMPICS IS FRIDAY, AUGUST 5, 2016 ON NBC

{blackbabes} Mariah Carey Reveals James Packer Was a ''Huge Fan'' Before They Ever Even Met: Why It Didn't Scare Her Off

Mariah Carey, Complex Magazine

Mariah Carey just proved that it's totally possible for a star to end up falling in love with a fan...In fact, that's exactly what happened between her and James Packer (yes, meaning there's hope for you and your celeb crush)!

The 46-year-old singer sat down for an interview with Complex magazine, opening up about her love life and revealing that her fiancé was a big fan before the two ever even met.

After her split from Nick Cannon (which we'll get to later), Mariah said she really wasn't looking for love, but then her friend, filmmaker Brett Ratner, introduced her to "a regular, normal person," Packer. Even though he admitted to being long obsessed with her music and still listens to different Mariah playlists while he travels, she wasn't scared off—she actually thinks it's really important!

"Actually, if he didn't like my music, then how would I be able to handle him being around when all I'm doing is creating?" she explained. "It's cool."

Now, the two are preparing to walk down the aisle. Mariah explained how their relationship is built off of a shared sense of humor and the fact that they both understand one another's busy schedules.

"I don't expect him to be at every little thing that I do, and vice versa," she told the publication. "He's got a lot of stuff on his plate and so do I. There's a mutual understanding."

The other mutual understanding is the fact that they're both very wealthy entities coming together, and some stuff simply needs to be taken care of before saying "I do."

Mariah Carey, Complex Magazine

"We would like for it not to be a big thing, but the reality is it has to be," she admitted. "Because there's things that are specifically mine, and he's got huge friggin' conglomerate stuff, and I'm not looking to take that from him. So it has to be dealt with. Anytime you get married to somebody [it does]—and I should know. This'll be marriage number three."

And that brings us back to her divorce from Cannon, which Mariah can admit she didn't expect to ever happen.

"I never thought I would have babies with someone and then get divorced," she said, "Like, 'Oh, great job. Repeat your past.'"

She continued, "But life happens and it was supposed to happen. It's fine. For [my children], I wish it hadn't happened that way. For me, it was...[singing Johnny Mathis and Deniece Williams' 'Too Much, Too Little, Too Late'] Guess it's over. Call it a day."

{blackbabes} More than 100 celebrities pledge to work against Trump

Julianne Moore, Bryan Cranston, Kerry Washington, Mark Ruffalo, Neil Patrick Harris, Lena Dunham, Shonda Rhimes, and Macklemore are among more than 100 celebrities joining a campaign to urge Americans to deny Donald Trump the White House.

The campaign is part of MoveOn.org Political Action's #UnitedAgainstHate campaign.

"We believe it is our responsibility to use our platforms to bring attention to the dangers of a Trump presidency, and to the real and present threats of his candidacy," says an open letter signed by the celebrities.

"Donald Trump wants to take our country back to a time when fear excused violence, when greed fueled discrimination, and when the state wrote prejudice against marginalized communities into law .... Some of us come from the groups Trump has attacked. Some of us don't. But as history has shown, it's often only a matter of time before the 'other' becomes me."

Among the communities it says Trump has attacked are: Mexican and Latino people, black people, LGBTQ people, women and their health care providers, Asians, refugees, people with disabilities, working class people, American prisoners of war, and others.

"We call upon every American to join us," the letter says, "to stand together on the right side of history, to use the power of our voice and the power of our vote to defeat Donald Trump and the hateful ideology he represents."
