Was it a case of royal stage fright?

Princess Eugenie, the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, may have had a choice seat near the stage for Beyoncé's concert at London's O2 Arena Tuesday. But when the singing star pointed the microphone in the young royal's face and asked her to belt out a line from "Irreplaceable" as she does to audience members each night, Eugenie blanched, according to a report from the U.K.'s Mirror.

According to the report, which cites an eyewitness, Beyoncé didn't apparently recognize Eugenie when she asked her to sing the line "to the left/to the left" in her hit song.

Instead, when she held the microphone out, Eugenie dodged the opportunity, ducking away in embarrassment and dropping to the ground, according to the Mirror report. "All Eugenie's friends were teasing her about her stage fright for hours afterwards," the paper reports, quoting a concertgoer.

Eugenie, 23, reportedly attended the concert with friends, including designer Matthew Williamson, Donna Air, a British television personality, and James Middleton, brother of the Duchess of Cambridge.

Nevertheless, Eugenie was enjoying herself at the show, and the Mirror reports that before the "Irreplaceable" incident, "[She] was really excitable and filming the whole thing on her iPhone like any other fan."
