"That was something that was hanging over our heads for so long, and now we feel like we can finally breathe a sigh of relief," Otunga, 32, tells PEOPLE. "Everything is good now."
In honor of their deceased family members, the couple started the Julian D. King Fountain to donate Christmas toys and school supplies for underprivileged children.
As for Jennifer, he tells PEOPLE, "I'm blessed to have such a wonderful woman in my life who cares for our child so lovingly."
Replies Jennifer, 30: "I care for my child like my mommy cared for me."
Says Otunga of his wife's skills as a mother: "It's made me love her just that much more."
But he also plays an important role – and in the case of David Jr., who turns 3 in August, it includes the video streams of Monday Night Raw appearances when Otunga is wrestling weekends on the road.
"I get home Tuesday, and he's already seen the show three times," Otunga says. "He actually calls it "WW-Dada." And he never goes anywhere without my action figure."
While he won't reveal his son's exact role in the wedding – a date the couple has closely guarded – Otunga assures that the groom has no plans to upstage the bride, who's previously said she's designed a three-piece dress that will reveal itself in layers as she strolls down the aisle.
Says Otunga: "My attire won't be quite the show that hers is."
