{blackbabes} Halle Berry and sharks in 'Dark Tide'

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez fell for each other on the set of Dark Tide. And now we get to see them in action in the new shark flick.

Berry plays a shark pro who is haunted by a client's fatal encounter with a Great White. Her ex-boyfriend, played by her now real-life boyfriend, convinces her to get back in the water for a job she can't refuse.

One trailer for the deep sea thriller came out last month. And now we've got another sneek peek, featuring the actress sticking her hand in the water to pet one of the menacing-looking sharks. We're not sure that's such a great idea, but, hey, Halle's the expert!

"Halle was a bit nervous at first about rubbing the snout but became really comfortable quickly with the biggest boy," director John Stockwell tells us. He adds, "Olivier was always filming and some of the best shots are from his video camera."

As for the scary sharks that constantly circle? "The Great Whites were terrible at reading call sheets or taking direction," Stockwell jokes, "worse then any actor who won't come out of their trailer. But on the day we shot this scene out at Seal Island in South Africa (ground central for hungry Great White sharks) we had two curious sharks that showed up and were superstars."

Dark Tide will premiere on Video On Demand on Thursday, three weeks before its theatrical release on March 30.
