Bre Scullark is the most recent "America's Next Top Model" eliminated contestant. In her exit Q&A, she tells Zap2it that she has better feelings about the whole experience than some of the other girls have said they had.
Are you glad you came back to "Top Model"? Was it everything you were expecting?
"I am. First of all, I'm glad that the fans wanted to see me back on an all-star cycle, I think that's really, really amazing that people actually cared what happend to me after my first cycle. As far as expectations, I didn't have any expectations. I came in open and willing to commit 100%."
Some of the other girls have said they were pitched something different than it actually turned out to be. Do you feel the same way?
"I came in knowing that it was going to be Tyra. I knew that it was going to be a branding cycle and I think that it was a branding cycle. but we still have a duty to the fans to give them a good, competitive show. I don't know if I can relate to everybody else, but that is just how I felt."
Once you were eliminated on last night's episode, you seemed to really get out of there fast, with no good-byes. Why was that?
"I think for me, I definitely respect and accept the judges' decision to eliminate me, but I needed to leave feeling completely whole and 100%. It's like if I went to an audition or a casting and I wasn't what they were looking for, it's a lot easier to accept that than for me to talk to Tyra and for her to stand there and tell me why she didn't choose me. I don't want that, I kept that with me for years after my first cycle. I wanted to leave knowing that even though I didn't stay, I was still whole and complete. It wasn't anything personal and the girls know that."
Who are you rooting for to win?
"I am rooting all of them. I feel like if fans like you enough to want to see you back, there must be something special about you. But I think Angelea is really authentic and even if everybody can't relate to Angelea, you can definitely respect that she's being her true self and I think that's great. And I love Lisa. They're two people that just gave a great example of being confident in who you are."
So what is next for you?
"I'm actually wrapping up an Old Navy season that is coming out this winter. It's eclectic and fun, I think everybody will enjoy that. My Garnier campaign commercial and print ad has just been renegotiated, so you'll see that a little while longer. I also have a sitcom directed by Tyler Perry for Thanksgiving Day. It's called 'For Better or Worse' with Tasha Smith and Michael J. White. And the 'CSI' guest-starring role is coming up."
Any messages to your fans?
If I could tell my supporters anything, I would tell them thank you so much for following me all these years and it's OK to grow and it's OK to accept yourself for who you are. The only competition you should ever have is yourself You should strive to be the best you and that's enough competition.
