Beyoncé and Jay-Z aren't skimping when it comes to their accommodations in Paris.

The couple arrived in the French capital on Monday by private jet and, a source says, they have been ensconced in a two-story hotel penthouse suite at the Hotel Le Meurice overlooking the Tuileries Garden that goes for a whopping $20,000 a night. (No, that's not a misprint, though it's also not the priciest hotel suite in the City of Light.)

Not that it's all R&R in the luxurious digs, which features a private kitchen, a glass enclosed dining room and an enormous private open air terrace.

It's a working vacation for the pair, who reportedly are recording a new song featuring Kanye West, and possibly prepping a video, according to sources. Reps for the musicians had no comment.

Beyoncé, who released the official version of her new single "Run the World (Girls)" on Thursday morning, has been keeping a relatively low profile in Paris. She "hasn't gone out on one of her customary kamikaze boutique runs," says one photographer, and the couple, who regularly enjoy the city's nightlife, have shared a low-key lunch – with champagne – at L'Avenue.

Multiple sources tell PEOPLE they arrived with a lot of musical equipment. "They've set up a studio in another suite and have been working nights on her album," says one source.

Still, there's always time for a little fun: Beyoncé took her 6-year-old nephew Daniel, who is in town with the singer, out to Disneyland Paris on Thursday. The singer's first stop – a souvenir stand, where she purchased a Goofy cap for herself. Afterwards, she headed for Phantom Manor and the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.
