As Bad Bunny prepares to headline the halftime show, Super Bowl LX is beefing up its star-studded musical lineup with help from Roc Nation and Apple Music.

On Sunday, the NFL announced that Brandi Carlile, Charlie Puth and Coco Jones have joined the pregame lineup for the championship game set for Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Feb. 8, 2026, broadcasting live on NBC.

Puth will perform the national anthem, with Carlile singing 'America the Beautiful' and Jones delivering a rendition of 'Lift Every Voice and Sing', performing from venues around the San Francisco Bay Area.

The latest addition to the 2026 Super Bowl lineup comes after Bad Bunny was tapped to headline the halftime show in September, sparking threats from Trump's Department of Homeland Security, despite the 3x Grammy winner being a U.S. citizen from Puerto Rico.

Trump loyalists have voiced their opinion against Bad Bunny performing at the Super Bowl, and Turning Point USA took the opportunity to present an alternative Halftime show on the same day.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has since defended the league's decision to select Bad Bunny. "He's one of the leading and most popular entertainers in the world. That's what we try to achieve. It's an important stage for us. It's an important element to the entertainment value. It's carefully thought through," he said.

"I'm not sure we've ever selected an artist where we didn't have some blowback or criticism. That's hard to do when you have literally hundreds of millions of people that are watching. But I feel confident that it's going to be a great show," added Goodell. "He understands the platform that he's on, and I think it's going to be an exciting and uniting moment."

Alexandra Shipp (Barbie) is set to topline The Autopsy of Albert Kemper, a psychological horror film from writer-director David Benullo that has kicked off production in Minnesota.

Golden Globe nominee Eric Stoltz (Mask, Pulp Fiction) and David Howard Thornton, who plays Art the Clown in the Terrifier films, will also star.

In The Autopsy of Albert Kemper, Shipp plays Riley Shaw, a morgue assistant who faces a terrifying night when the body of a notorious serial killer begins to show signs of something beyond death. No word on Stoltz's role, but Thornton will play the film's titular villain, Albert Kemper.

The film draws inspiration from an urban legend surrounding the aftermath of Jeffrey Dahmer's death — rumors that authorities handcuffed the serial killer's body to the gurney for fear he might "rise again." Producers include Epic Level Entertainment's Dana Guerin, John Frank Rosenblum and Tracy Mercer, Mandy June Turpin, and Jim Strader.

Best known for roles in Barbie and Anyone but You, Shipp recently wrapped Forbidden Fruits opposite Lili Reinhart, Lola Tung, and Victoria Pedretti. She also stars opposite Alan Cumming in Brian Cox's directorial debut Glenrothan, which premiered at TIFF, and stars opposite Billy Magnussen in the thriller Violent Ends, which released in October. She is represented by CAA, Neon Kite and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.

For Benullo, The Autopsy of Albert Kemper marks a return to the genre that launched his directing career. His debut feature, the horror film Hallowed Ground, starred Chloë Grace Moretz and Jaimie Alexander. Benullo's subsequent credits include indie thrillers such as Hostage House, which debuted on Netflix. He is repped by Quattro Media and Levin Law.

Stoltz is repped by SMS and Patti Felker; Thornton by BMG Talent; Rosenblum by WPA; Mercer by Orly Ravid; and Turpin by Holmes King.

Prime Video Italy is underway in Rome on English-language rom-com Blame It On Rome, starring Michele Morrone (365 Days) and Gabrielle Union (Bad Boys II).

Co-produced by Colorado Film, Nebraska and Amazon MGM Studios, the movie is directed by Italian filmmaker Francesco Carrozzini (Supersex) and co-written by Kirsten "Kiwi" Smith (Legally Blonde) and Jessica O'Toole (Jane the Virgin).

Costume design is by Oscar nominee Massimo Cantini Parrini, cinematography is by David di Donatello winner Vladan Radovic, and production design is by Giuliano Pannuti, nominee for the Nastro d'Argento Award for Production Design.

The synopsis reads: "Billie (Gabrielle Union), an ambitious New York art executive, travels to Rome to purchase a valuable painting. When her fiancé confesses he's in love with another woman, a distraught Billie loses control, botches the deal, and ends up losing her job. Instead of returning home, she decides to stay in Rome – determined, for once, to simply enjoy life. Between aperitivos, reckless adventures, and a string of dates, Billie learns to live in the moment… until she discovers she's pregnant. Not knowing who the father is, she hires private investigator Tommaso (Michele Morrone) to help her solve the paternity mystery. As they navigate Rome together, their initial friction gives way to an unexpected attraction which turns into an emotional journey that forces both Billie and Tommaso to face their fears – and open up to the possibility of new love."

Italian actor Morrone recently starred in Amazon's Paul Feig sequel Another Simple Favor and has the same director's movie The Housemaid upcoming with Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried.

Union is in post on Sony animation GOAT and indie comedy-horror Forbidden Fruits. Last year she teamed with Amazon on comedy Space Cadet and also starred in action-comedy Riff Raff.

Oscar-nominated filmmaker Fernando Meirelles (The Two Popes) has has commenced the New Jersey shoot for his Netflix heist film Here Comes the Flood, which has added four new cast members: Danai Gurira (Black Panther), Sean Harris (The Stranger), Moisés Arias (Jockey), and Justin Kirk (Succession).

As previously announced, the film is led by Academy Award winner Denzel Washington, Robert Pattinson, and Daisy Edgar-Jones. Written by Simon Kinberg (Mr. & Mrs. Smith), Here Comes the Flood is described as an unconventional heist thriller centered on a bank guard, a teller, and a master thief caught in a deadly game of cons and double crosses.

Kinberg and Audrey Chon are producing through Genre Films alongside Meirelles, with Samson Mucke and Katia Washington serving as executive producers.

Best known for her portrayal of Wakandan warrior Okoye in the Black Panther films and other Marvel projects, and for her starring turn as Michonne in AMC's The Walking Dead and spinoff The Ones Who Live, Gurira's upcoming projects include Matchbox from Apple, Skydance and Mattel, and Amazon MGM's The Thomas Crown Affair. She is repped by UTA, Suskin/Karshan Management, and Jamie Mandelbaum and Marissa Linden at Jackoway Tyerman.

A BAFTA winner, Harris' recent film credits include Spencer, The Green Knight, and Mission: Impossible – Fallout. He has also been seen on television in Paris Has Fallen and The Gold. He is repped by B-Side Management and Entertainment 360.

Previously, Arias has been seen in Clint Bentley's Jockey and Sundance Special Jury Award winner Monos, as well as such films as Nacho Libre, Despicable Me 2, Ender's Game, The Kings of Summer, and The King of Staten Island. Up next, he'll be seen in the second season of Amazon's Fallout. He is repped by Independent Artist Group and Myman Greenspann.

An Emmy nominee, Kirk is best known for starring in Showtime's Weeds and HBO's Angels in America. His recent television credits include Interview with the Vampire, Succession, and Perry Mason. Next up, he'll be seen in Peacock's series adaptation of the 1989 Tom Hanks film The 'Burbs. He is repped by UTA, Anonymous Content, and Ziffren Brittenham.

Alexandra Shipp (Barbie) and Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) are set to star in sci-fi horror Lost Planet, which Daniel Baur's K5 International is launching ahead of the American Film Market.

The film takes place in the near future where a leading aerospace corporation has established colonies on various planets. When one colony suddenly goes dark, two astronauts — Ally Gage (Shipp) and Cal Bowman (Thwaites) — are sent to investigate. When they arrive, though, there's no trace of anyone.

The film, which is in pre-production, will be directed by feature debutant Darius Dawson from a script by Brendan Bigelow. Producers are John Sacchi and Matthew Groesch of 5 More Minutes Productions (One of Us Is Lying), alongside Adam Haiken, Roy Scott McFarland, Colin Bates and Marc Danon. Daniel Baur and Oda Schaefer are executive-producing on behalf of K5 International.

X-Men and Anyone but You actress Shipp most recently wrapped wrapped production on Forbidden Fruits, starring opposite Lili Reinhart, Lola Tung, and Victoria Pedretti. She also stars opposite Alan Cumming in Brian Cox's directorial debut Glenrothan, which just premiered at TIFF. Thwaites next will be seen starring in Neon/Vertical Entertainment horror feature We Bury the Dead opposite Daisy Ridley.

Daniel Baur from K5 International said, "We were absolutely blown away by Darius Dawson´s unique and elaborated vision of this sci-fi horror movie that takes an exciting new blend of Alien, Moon and Arrival."

K5's genre slate for AFM includes martial arts film MRI with Iko Uwais (The Raid) and action-thriller Heartless. Also on the slate are Roland Joffé's November 1963 with John Travolta and Jean Reno starrer The Butler.

FX has given a series order to its untitled Snowfall spinoff, which stars the original series' cast members Gail Bean and Isaiah John reprising their roles as Wanda and Leon Simmons, respectively. It is slated for premiere next year on FX and Hulu.

As Deadline first reported, the spinoff, a follow-up to the hit mothership series, was put in development in 2023 as Snowfall's six-season run came to an end on FX. It received a pilot order in March.

Written and executive produced by Malcolm Spellman, the spinoff is set in '90s Los Angeles soon after the end of the original series. It revolves around a recovering addict who strives to take West Coast rap mainstream — while gang wars erupt and record labels move to exploit hip hop culture for their own gain.

Asante Blackk, Peyton Alex Smith and Simmie Sims III also star.

Spellman executive produces the offshoot with Snowfall executive producers Dave Andron — who also co-created the original series with the late John Singleton and Eric Amadio — Thomas Schlamme, Julie DeJoie, Michael London and Trevor Engelson. The untitled series is produced by FX Productions.

"This new series takes us back to one of the most formative eras in music with the birth of the West Coast rap revolution," said Nick Grad, President of FX Entertainment. "We worked with Malcolm Spellman on the documentary series Hip Hop Uncovered and he has encyclopedic knowledge of this material. This is a breakout starring role for Gail Bean and, as always, Isaiah John is terrific along with the ensemble cast. Snowfall was one of the most successful FX dramas ever and we're excited that Dave Andron, Thomas Schlamme and other veterans of the Snowfall creative team are on board."

The Snowfall spinoff was one several pilots ordered by FX this year. Pickup decisions on the others, including Seven Sisters, Disinherited, Untitled Hannah Fidell, Very Young Frankenstein and Movers, are still pending.

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson's novel The Accomplice is being turned into a television series.

Peacock is developing a series adaptation of the book, which Jackson wrote with Aaron Philip Clark and was published last month.

Empire and Hidden Figures star Taraji. P. Henson is attached to lead the drama project. She is set to play Nia Adams, a fearless Texas Ranger on the trail of master thief Desmond Bell, whose latest target is one of America's wealthiest families. As Adams closes in, she uncovers a conspiracy so explosive it forces her to choose between exposing the truth and protecting the very system she swore to serve.

The project comes from UCP with Jackson's G-Unit Films and Television, and Henson's TPH Entertainment also producing. Jackson and Henson also serve as non-writing exec producers. There is no writer attached to the project yet.

It comes days after Henson, who already has a two-picture film deal with Netflix, struck a first-look deal with Fox Entertainment Studios to develop scripted and unscripted projects that she also might star in.

Jackson also has a busy dance card. He just set up British boxing drama Fightland at Starz, which is the home to his Power franchise that includes the original series, Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Power Book IV: Force, Power: Origins and Power: Legacy.

He is also developing Hip Hop Cop, based on Ron Stallworth's memoir The Gangs of Zion, at Hulu, and is producing a docuseries about Sean "Diddy" Combs at Netflix.

Lauren Miller Rogen has added Issa Rae (Insecure), Dan Stevens (Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire), Zach Cherry (Severance), and Kate Berlant (Maddie's Secret) to the cast of her sophomore feature Babies. 

Miller Rogen is directing from a screenplay she also wrote for AGC Studios and Monarch Media. Anna Kendrick (Woman of the Hour) and Seth Rogen (The Studio) signed on to star earlier this year. 

The film will shoot on location in Los Angeles with the support of the California Tax Credit. Producers include LYLAS Pictures' Lauren Miller Rogen and Jen W. Ray, AGC's Stuart Ford, and Monarch's Steve Barnett, with AGC's Miguel A. Palos, Jr. and Zach Garrett, Monarch's Alan Powell and Vicky Patel, and LYLAS' Sophie Høegh serving as Executive Producers. AGC and CAA Media Finance are co-repping worldwide rights. 

The film's synopsis reads: Struggling with the decision of whether or not to bring a child into the world, Annie (Kendrick) and her husband Aaron (Rogen) become instant co-parents when their newly-divorced friend moves into their home with her 4-year-old. 

Miller Rogen's credits include writing, directing, and producing the Netflix original film Like Father, starring Kristen Bell and Kelsey Grammer, and writing, starring in, and producing the indie comedy For a Good Time, Call…, which was released by Focus Features. She is also attached to direct the horror comedy Be Mine with Project X/Radio Silence for MRC and the action comedy Sky Dancers for Original Film.

There is a major cast departure on CBS' upcoming FBI offshoot CIA. Michael Michele, one of the series' leads, has left, sources tell Deadline. CIA, headlined by Tom Ellis and Nick Gehlfuss, started production in September for a midseason premiere. There are rumblings that Michele would be recast but that has not been confirmed and appears unclear at the moment.

This is a second major change on the crime drama, which was picked up in April with a straight-to-series order, following a showrunner switch over the summer.

CIA centers on two unlikely partners – a fast-talking, rule-breaking loose cannon CIA case officer (Ellis), and a by-the-book, seasoned and smart FBI agent (Gehlfuss) who believes in the rule of law. When this odd couple are assigned to work out of CIA's New York Station, they must learn to work together to investigate cases and criminals posing threats on U.S. soil, finding that their differences may actually be their strength.

Michele played the head of CIA's New York Station. The show also stars Natalee Linez as a CIA analyst.

Originally planned for a fall 2025 premiere, CIA in July was pushed to midseason while undergoing a showrunner change, with Warren Leight replacing FBI: Most Wanted showrunner David Hudgins.

Dick Wolf and Leight executive produce CIA alongside Nicole Perlman, David Chasteen, and Peter Jankowski. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, produces in association with Wolf Entertainment and CBS Studios.

Michele has a long history with Wolf; in her first acting gig, she recurred on the first season of his New York Undercover. She most recently recurred opposite Queen Latifah on another CBS/Universal TV crime drama, The Equalizer.
