{blackbabes} Venus Williams party hops in Miami

https://nyppagesix.files.wordpress.com/2019/04/dj-khaled-venus-williams.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&w=642

Venus Williams was spotted party-hopping from dusk til dawn in Miami on Saturday night, an insider told Page Six.

We're told the tennis star started her evening off by grabbing dinner at hot spot Swan with pals before heading to nightclub Story where DJ Khaled was performing.

"She arrived around 1:45 a.m. and met with Khaled outside for a friendly chat before both heading into the club," the insider told us.

Williams, dressed casually in denim shorts and a plain white top, danced to DJ Khaled's tunes with friends at her VIP table until around 4 a.m. when she relocated to E11even.

At the megaclub, Williams met up with Canadian tennis player Eugenie Bouchard and "the two partied into the wee hours of the morning, drinking champagne and taking a few vodka shots."

We're told the pair were spotted making their exit around 7a.m. when the sun came up.

{blackbabes} Beyonce's Dad Mathew Knowles Doing Musical Based on Destiny's Child

Beyonce's dad is bringing his daughter's story to the stage ... because he's creating a musical based on Destiny's Child and you already know it's gonna be bootylicious!

Mathew Knowles is producing the show, "Survivor: The Destiny's Child Musical," and he says it's premiering in Houston next year, with additional plans for Broadway, London's West End and even a world tour!

The musical is told from Mathew's perspective, and Beyonce's dad says he wants to pull back the curtain and treat audiences to an honest, behind-the-scenes look at how one of the greatest female music groups of all-time got its start.

Mathew says the tale will start from the group's humble beginnings, chronicling its rise to superstardom, plus his own pioneering climb into the music industry. Ultimately, Mathew says the show's message is that building a dream takes sacrifice ... even at the cost of everything and everyone you love.

You know it's gonna be a rockin' production ... and Mathew says the musical's gonna feature a masterful mix of music, dance and beautiful imagery. He's collaborating with Je'Caryous Johnson to bring his story to life.

No word on who has the inside track on playing Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson.

Yes. We are ready for this jelly.

Video: https://youtu.be/fB8qvx0HOlI

OK, Netflix subscribers, now let's get in formation (wherever you do your best binge-watching). The streaming service has dropped a full-length trailer for Homecoming, a documentary that will chronicle the creation of Beyoncé's historic 2018 Coachella performance.

Premiering Wednesday, April 17, Homecoming presents "an intimate look" at Beyoncé's headlining set that paid homage to America's historically black colleges and universities. Per Netflix's official description, the documentary will use candid footage and interviews to detail "the preparation and powerful intent behind her vision" and trace "the emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement."

The trailer above offers glimpses at the intense rehearsals that went into Beyoncé's performance, including pre-Coachella workouts for the singer. (And, of course, her adorable children make a few appearances, too.)

The late Maya Angelou can be heard throughout the trailer, providing a voiceover for the fleeting footage we get to see. "What I really want to do is be a representative of my race, of the human race," she says. "I have a chance to show how kind we can be, how intelligent and generous we can be."

{blackbabes} ‘Homecoming’, Beyonce 2018 Coachella Documentary, Teased By Netflix

The 2019 Coachella festival is close, and Netflix is setting the mood with a Twitter tease that it will release a documentary based on Beyonce's triumphant 2018 appearance at the event.

Netflix tweeted a single word, "Homecoming," today, setting off the Beyhive of Beyonce fanatics. If the documentary is happening – and Netflix has not formally confirmed it – the film will reportedly premiere April 17, a Wednesday between the first and second weekends of the festival.

The Twitter teaser borrows its yellow color and typography from Beyoncé's Coachella wardrobe, and the title is reportedly a salute to Beyoncé's Beta Delta Kappa sorority and the full marching band that appeared with her in 2018. The singer also has a Homecoming Scholars Award Program through her charity, a fund for those attending historically black college and universities.

The 2018 Coachella appearance came after Beyonce had to cancel a 2017 date there because of her pregnancy. The 2018 appearance was livestreamed and highlighted by a Destiny's Child reunion, drawing mostly rave reviews.

{blackbabes} Beyonce Signs Adidas Partnership Deal to Launch Sneakers and Apparel

Beyonce is now kickin' it with the three stripes ... cause she just signed with Adidas!!

The company just announced it's inked Bey to a new "multi-layered" deal. Adidas will also launch her signature sneakers and apparel. As part of the deal, Bey's gonna serve as a creative partner.

Beyonce had launched her own activewear line back in 2016 called Ivy Park -- a collaboration with Topshop. Her new plan is to relaunch Ivy Park under Adidas.

The singer says, "This is the partnership of a lifetime for me. Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of business."

Shoe companies signing artists is nothing new. Puma signed Rihanna back in 2014 and Reebok followed suit that same year with Kendrick Lamar. Of course, Adidas started the trend by teaming with Kanye West.

You'll recall the shoe giant signed Ye back in 2013 to produce his Yeezys ... after he bounced from Nike. In 2016, Adidas described its Kanye collab as "the most significant partnership between a non-athlete and a sports brand."

Sorry, Drake ... but for Bey, it's stripes over checks.

{blackbabes} This Is Us: [Spoiler] Not Returning as a Series Regular in Season 4

In the wake of Kevin and Zoe's breakup in This Is Us' season finale, TVLine can confirm that the latter's portrayer, Melanie Liburd, will not be returning to the NBC drama in Season 4 as a series regular. The actress debuted as Beth's cousin in the Season 2 finale and was upgraded to a series regular last summer, ahead of Season 3.

As exec producer Isaac Aptaker explains, it would have been unfair to lock Liburd in contractually for another year given the direction Kevin's story is headed. "We don't want to hold on to her and then not have the real estate for her," he tells TVLine. "She's an amazing actress and she has a ton of opportunities… We don't want to stop her from [getting another full-time gig]."

That said, Aptaker hints that it is highly unlikely viewers have seen the last of Zoe. "Whenever there are opportunities for Zoe to come back — which [would be] pretty organic because she touches on Kevin's life as well as, of course, Beth and Randall's life — we're eager to have her back… We love Melanie so much. She's a friend of the show and she did an amazing job for us; we love her both as an actor and as a person."

Adds fellow EP Elizabeth Berger: "She is a Pearson family member and we love her, so I think it's safe to say you will be seeing her again."

{blackbabes} Top-seeded American Stephens moves on in Volvo Car Open

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Top-seeded American Sloane Stephens outlasted Spain's Sara Sorribes Tormo 7-6 (4), 7-6 (4) to advance Tuesday at the WTA's Volvo Car Open.

Stephens, the 2017 U.S. Open champion, needed almost 2 hours, 40 minutes to put away Tormo in the season's first clay-court tournament. The 2016 Volvo Car Open champion was not crisp during several stretches. She fell behind Sorribes Tormo 5-2 in the first set before rallying. Stephens also squandered two match points at 5-4 in the second set before winning the tiebreaker.

The start of play was delayed three hours because of rain.

Other seeded players advancing were No. 12 Mahaela Buzarnescu of Romania, No. 15 Maria Sakkari of Greece and No. 16 Petra Martic of Croatia.
