A new panel talk show with female hosts is entering the daytime space. I've learned that a syndicated talker hosted by actress-singer Tamera Mowry (Tia & Tamera), singer Tamar Braxton (Braxton Family Values), singer-actress Adrienne Bailon (The Cheetah Girls), TV personality Jeannie Mai (How Do I Look?) and comedian Loni Love will be getting a summer trial run on some of the Fox-owned stations. The exact markets and time periods are still being worked out but I hear the show, produced by Telepictures, is eyeing a July 8 launch. Titled The Real, the talker is said to be in the vein of The View and The Talk, but with a younger and entirely ethnic panel. (All five hosts are under 40.) The Real is looking to follow in the footsteps of another Telepictures syndicated talk show, Bethenny, which had a successful summer run on Fox stations last summer before getting a nationwide launch this fall. For the Fox stations, this is the second talk show that is being given a try this summer, along with Twentieth's Kris, hosted by Kris Jenner, which premieres July 15.

Was Beyoncé's body a little too bootylicious for H&M?

When the singer's hot bikini ads for the retailer first broke out in April, she definitely wowed us with a bangin' bod that most women would kill for.

So, we were surprised by The Sun's recent report that the retailer had originally intended to use Photoshopped shots that minimized Bey's famous curves for the steamy swimwear campaign. And, according to the British taloid, Jay-Z's wife was definitely unhappy with the altered photos.

"She's a true diva and was furious that she had been given such a snubbing," a source told the paper. "Her people refused to give the pictures a green light so H&M were forced to use the originals.

So, was H&M really not ready for Beyoncé's jelly?

"Beyoncé was our first choice for this campaign and we were delighted when she said yes," H&M said in a statement. "Our purpose has always been to portray Beyoncé as the strong and beautiful woman she is. It has been a good working process and a close cooperation. Both parties are happy with the images."

We'd definitely say the stunning shots are cause for content! We know we wouldn't mind heating up the beach with killer curves like hers this bikini season.

Chris Brown, Amanda Bynes and questionable Instagrams aside, Rihanna continues to rule the music world.

The Barbadian beauty's latest album, Unapologetic, has gone platinum—her sixth album to do so—after hitting the 1 million mark in sales last week.

Her only album to not reach platinum status is her 2005 debut, Music of the Sun, which has sold 607,000 copies to date.

According to published reports, Unapologetic sold another 9,000 copies in the week ending May 26—the album's 27th week on the charts—bringing the sales-to-date total to slightly more than 1 million.

Despite RiRi's seventh studio album's widespread success, the record still falls behind the pop star's 2007 set Good Girl Gone Bad, which sold 2.8 million copies.

Unapologetic has also produced for hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100 thus far: "Diamonds" ( No. 1), "Stay" (No. 3), "Pour It Up" (No. 19) and "Loveeeeeee Song" (No. 55). The record is also Rihanna's first No. 1 album.

 

The "Right Now" singer has yet to take to Twitter to thank her loyal fans, although she did post an Instagram shot from her latest show, captioning the pic, "Told you I'll be here forever!!! #NavyLifeDoe."

We don't doubt it. Congrats, girl!

PARIS (Reuters) - Serena Williams breezed past Sorana Cirstea 6-0 6-2 in the French Open third round on Friday, extending her winning streak to 27 matches and laying down a marker of her title potential.

It took eight games and 33 minutes before her 26th-seeded Romanian opponent made a mark on the scoreboard, a feat that was greeted with sympathetic cheers from the Parisian crowd.

The world number one broke three times in the opening set and although she found the going tougher in the second, losing two early games and facing break points, she had too much power for Cirstea.

Williams, who won her only Roland Garros title in 2002, will play Czech Petra Cetkovska or Italy's Roberta Vinci in the next round.

The Mariah Carey-Nicki Minaj American Idol rivalry carried over to the divas' departure from the show, with Minaj stepping on Carey's toes and announcing her own departure on Twitter shortly after Carey had done the same, also on Twitter. "Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience!," Minaj wrote. "Wouldn't trade it for the world! Time to focus on the Music!!! Mmmuuuaahhh!!!"

"Nicki Minaj is a superstar who brought a level of honesty and passion to American Idol and who had a tremendous positive impact on so many contestants this season," Fox and Idol producers FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment said in a joint statement. "Given her extremely busy career, we understand and respect her decision and wish her the best." Minaj joins fellow judges Carey and Randy Jackson on the list of Idol departures as the veteran series wrapped its lowest-rated season. We've yet to hear from judge Keith Urban and executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, both of whom are rumored to also depart. Fox and Idol producers seem to have already moved on, with Jennifer Hudson in talks for a spot on the judging panel next season, possibly alongside other well known Idol alums.

And then there were two. Mariah Carey confirmed today that she is leaving American Idol, joining original Idol judge Randy Jackson. "W/ global success of #Beautiful (#1 in 30+ countries so far) @MariahCarey confirms world tour & says goodbye 2 Idol," said a tweet Carey retweeted from her publicist PMK BNC. The exit by the multi-platinum singer after just one season on the judges' panel doesn't come as much of a surprise. Hubby Nick Cannon essentially said she would be leaving the veteran Fox singing competition series back in May because of the on- and off-screen drama with fellow rookie Nicki Minaj. Also, with the once dominant Idol seeing double-digit ratings declines and an all-time finale low this year, change seemed to be in the air on the show going into a 13th season. There's still no official word yet whether Minaj and fellow freshman Keith Urban also will depart. Jackson announced earlier this month he was leaving.

As for Carey, Fox and producers FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment said today: "Mariah Carey is a true global icon — one of the most accomplished artists on the planet — and we feel extremely fortunate that she was able to bring her wisdom and experience to the American Idol contestants this season. We know she will remain an inspiration to Idol hopefuls for many seasons to come".

Kerry Washington had to steer clear of Twitter and Facebook after speaking at the Democratic National Convention last year in support of President Barack Obama because Republican fans of her TV series Scandal wanted her dead.

The Django Unchained actress has never backed down from her political beliefs but found some of the backlash from her DNC appearance a little hard to stomach.

She tells The Hollywood Reporter, "Our show has a very active life on Twitter and Facebook, (but) I couldn't go near any of it because there were threats to my life, sexism and racism. It was shocking that me speaking at a convention incited all this anger. Thank God for block on Twitter!

"(People were) disagreeing with my views, which I totally think is great. I would never block somebody for disagreeing with me. But the threats to my life... that's not so good."
